Creation

Bruvel garments are created entirely by hand, from the hand-selected European remnant or vintage fabrics, to the design, cutting and sewing. The care and precision stems from the designers love of tailoring and craftsmanship, while equally focusing on ethical creation and sustainability practices.


Composition

We are meticulous in the fabric selection for the creation of Bruvel garments. The textiles are always of natural composition, and we always aim to use European vintage, or offcuts from previous buyers. The world is sending an estimated 92 million tonnes of textile waste to landfill each year, why select freshly made fabrics when we can source beautiful remnants and impact the fast fashion cycle even marginally. Due to the nature of our fabric selection we create is small batches, every release is limited and every piece is created with the utmost love and care.


Care

The combination of vintage fabric and fine tailoring means each Bruvel garment should be handled with care. Aerate out of direct sunlight after each wear. Spot clean with water and sponge excess water. To decrease and restore the natural sheen, iron with wool setting (cool) or steam with hand steamer. Store folded over a coat hanger. Due to the tailored nature of this garment dry cleaning is recommended only when necessary.
